A new client says yes — and then everybody assumes somebody else has picked it up.
SOP & Process Design Sprint
Your business shouldn't depend on one person remembering how everything works.
When client work gets handed over differently every time, tasks are missed, people have to chase each other, or the owner keeps getting pulled back in, that is often a sign the process has never been made clear enough.
House of Carol takes one important workflow, works out how it really operates, fixes unclear handoffs and responsibilities, and turns it into a practical way of working your team can actually follow.
One defined recurring process · one named process owner · one improved process map and practical SOP · one in-scope correction cycle
Normally delivered within 10 working days once the agreed inputs are available. Customer delay pauses the clock.
Minimum representative evidence · no passwords or unnecessary sensitive information · no invented compliance claims or imaginary savings
Does this sound familiar?
The work gets done, but it takes too much chasing, memory or founder rescue.
Useful information gets scattered across emails, messages, spreadsheets and somebody's memory.
Two people do the same task differently, and nobody is quite sure which version is the real process.
A new member of staff needs constant explanation because the actual way of working has never been made clear.
Something gets missed, the customer chases, and a manager or founder has to step in again.
Growth or hiring makes an informal process that once felt harmless harder to sustain.
What you will leave with
We fix the process before we write the procedure.
A clear current-state view
An evidence-based picture of how the process works today, including the main friction, duplication, unclear ownership and weak handoffs.
A clearer future-state process
One agreed process boundary with explicit owners, handoffs, decisions and the important exception routes.
A practical process map and SOP
A step-by-step operating method aligned to the improved process rather than a polished document that describes the old problem.
A handover your team can use
A walkthrough of the result, the actions that remain with you and a clearer basis for delegation and onboarding.
One correction cycle
One correction cycle for anything agreed but missing or wrong while the original process boundary stays the same.
A bounded £1,500 sprint
One important process, properly understood, redesigned and documented.
One defined process.
One named process owner.
Up to 90 minutes remote discovery and up to 60 minutes handover/review.
£1,500 fixed.
Normally delivered within 10 working days once the agreed inputs are available. The standard sprint is not organisation-wide transformation, live system implementation or regulated/high-consequence process redesign.
What happens during the sprint?
1. Define
Agree the process boundary, owner and useful result.
2. Understand
Review the minimum useful evidence and how work actually moves.
3. Redesign
Clarify handoffs, ownership, decisions, controls and important exceptions.
4. Document
Create the improved process map and one practical SOP.
5. Hand over
Walk through the result, identify customer-owned actions and correct one in-scope defect if needed.
What would you need from us?
One named process owner, a remote discovery session of up to 90 minutes, a remote handover/review of up to 60 minutes, and the minimum representative documents, screenshots or examples needed to understand the process.
Do not send passwords, credentials or unnecessary sensitive information. We work with the minimum useful evidence and will ask for redaction or anonymisation where appropriate.
What changes compared with the current process?
The aim is to move from memory-dependent handoffs, chasing, unclear ownership and improvised exceptions to one agreed boundary, clear owners and decision points, a defined route for normal work and awkward cases, and one practical process map and SOP.
The aim is not a polished document that sits in a folder. It is a process your team can understand, use and hand over without relying on one person's memory.
Is this the right service for our organisation?
The first-customer hypothesis is an owner-led England-and-Wales B2B agency, consultancy or similar non-regulated service business, normally 10–49 employees, with a recurring client-facing handoff that has become painful as the team grows.
A good fit is a recurring process involving two or more people, different versions of “how we do it”, missed or repeated tasks, difficult onboarding or delegation, or regular founder/manager chasing and rescue.
The broader UK market remains a future hypothesis; this wording does not claim proven demand.
This probably isn't worth £1,500 if…
The procedure is simple, stable, low-risk and already understood by one competent person who can document it easily.
In that case, a £1,500 sprint is probably more than you need. We would rather tell you that than sell work you do not need.
The standard sprint is also not designed for legal/compliance certification, regulated or high-consequence process redesign, organisation-wide transformation or live system implementation.
Who does the work?
The work is led by Alan W Gallagher, the Bristol-based founder of House of Carol. His career spans more than twenty years across IT services, information-security administration, healthcare, customer operations, procurement, technical operations and governance support.
Much of that work has involved understanding how work moves between people and systems, clarifying requirements, improving documentation, resolving service problems and leaving behind a clearer operating trail.

Which process keeps pulling you back in?
Tell us what happens, where it tends to go wrong and why it matters now. If it looks like a genuine fit, we will define the exact boundary before anything is agreed. If it does not, we will say so.
